The High Point-Thomasville HiToms have acquired Samford University RHP Alex Gaeto for the 2024 Coastal Plain League Campaign.
In 35.1 innings-pitched through two seasons with the Samford Bulldogs, Gaeto has logged 39 strikeouts and has a career record of 1-1 out of the bullpen.
Gaeto attended Albuquerque Academy, where he posted a 1.56 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 32.1 innings of work. A two-time captain, Gaeto led his squad to a 2021 New Mexico State Championship.
The HiToms will open their season on May 23rd vs. the Asheboro Zookeepers.
